​How many TPA’s encourage input from the client? This is an essential component of our approach to claims administration at Murphy and Beane.

Unlike the larger administrators, we do not bundle the vendor services*. Whether you have a preferred nurse case manager, DME or chosen investigator, we will work together with a list of providers who have proven themselves worthy partners of Murphy & Beane over the years.  If you have no preference, we will choose from a list of providers who have proven themselves as worthy partners over the years. Murphy and Beane negotiates rates with vendors to make sure they are competitive and often, below Fee Schedule.

Sensible Reserving Practice

Our Claims management standards are also based on the belief that employers are best served when case reserves reflect the expected and ultimate cost of the claim based on the most current information available. Every case is reviewed on a case-by- case basis. Every possible reduction of reserves will be explored. Murphy & Beane encourages clients to partner with an Actuary who together with Murphy & Beane will review reserves which further supports established estimated future liabilities.

Murphy & Beane TPA uses the Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) industry-leading medical treatment and return-to-work guidelines. ODG has the best, documented track record of success in the industry facilitating the right interventions at the right time to optimize claims management expenditures and ensure timely and efficient claim closure. ODG guidelines help provide the right care and the right job modifications for the right patient at the right time, with minimal waste and streamlined automation where care plans meet guidelines.  ​
